Marketing Dive: Google Opens Posts to Local Businesses
Google recently launched Posts – a feature that allows businesses to create content directly on Google. These posts resemble social media posts – think text, images, GIFs, videos – but instead of popping up on friends’ or followers’ feeds, these posts display on Google’s search results page.
This is potentially a huge opportunity for brick-and-mortar businesses as local search becomes an industry standard for driving customers into stores. As potential customers search for local products and solutions, Google Posts, in theory, will increase the likelihood of connecting customers with businesses offering those products or services.
